Teeth Whitening

Over time teeth often get discolored. This can happen as part of the aging process or be caused by excessive use of tea, coffee or tobacco. It may also have been caused by the use of an antibiotic, such as tetracycline, in childhood. There are two types of changes that happen over a long stretch of time that may cause tooth discoloration. The outer layer of the tooth has an enamel coating that is crystalline, porcelain-like, and semi-translucent that can become worn. Enamel will not regenerate once it is worn, therefore it can slowly wear away, over a long time period and not be restored. Beneath the enamel lies the dentin layer. As the enamel wears, dentin will begin to show. Dentin has a yellowish appearance, consequently the teeth will starting having a yellowish color as the enamel wears. Additionally, micro-fractures appear in the enamel over time. These micro-fractures can harbor food particles that can cause additional discoloration. Our whitening process will alleviate this discoloration and your teeth will appear brighter and whiter.

It’s possible for teeth to become chipped, fractured or misaligned which can be aesthetically displeasing. Veneers can improve your appearance by correcting the shape of teeth utilizing a porcelain shell. This thin porcelain shell can cover these defects including, chips, cracks, crooked teeth, gaps, discoloration, and stains, among other issues. Your smile will become transformed and you’ll have a bright radiant smile to show to the world.

Broken, chipped, discolored or decayed teeth may be fixed with composite bonding, so that they will retain a natural appearance. A dental composite that looks like tooth enamel is used to cover the outer surface or fill a cavity within a tooth. The composite material is molded and sculptured so that it has the correct shape. After this it undergoes a hardening process. This brings about the restoration of the tooth and it will blend in perfectly with nearby teeth. The final result is an esthetically pleasing smile that appears 100% natural.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are really artificial roots that consist of metal posts. The posts are inserted into the bone of the jaw and then an artificial tooth is attached. The dental implant is completely biocompatible with the bone in which it is inserted and the implant and the bone will fuse. The fusing process is termed, osseointegration. The implant provides a solid structure upon which an artificial tooth can be attached. The implants are designed so that they appear natural and blend in with the adjacent teeth. Dental implants include some great benefits in comparison to conventional dentures. Dental implants are fixed in the jaw permanently, since they are fused with the jaw. Because dental implants are fixed within the jaw, they do not impair speech, eating, or comfort, like dentures will. When teeth are absent, shrinkage tends to occur in the jawbone since the space it is accommodating is smaller. This can result in a “shrunken” look and make for an older appearance. This effect can be eliminated by dental implants.

Dentures have a number of benefits for clients who have missing teeth. Dentures will eliminate the “sunken” look of clients who have missing teeth, because the appearance of their face will be filled out. The expense associated with dentures is substantially less than having an implant procedure performed. For many clients who have teeth missing, dentures are the best option. Many of our clients who have obtained dentures say that their facial features, self-confidence, and smile have had a dramatic improvement.

Teeth are now able to be straightened without the use of conventional braces with the help of Invisalign®. Invisalign® has aligners that are almost invisible and they’re also removable. As a consequence, the teeth can be straightened without using unsightly metal braces. An additional benefit is that eating habits don’t need to change. Oral care is also unchanged, because there aren’t any metal wires and brackets to impede brushing and flossing.
